It’s no secret that large established companies are much more proficient at maintaining their mainstream businesses than creating newstream businesses based on the next big breakthrough.

Professor Gina O’Connor has conducted research on this topic for many years and has a deep understanding of the experiences of project leaders and organizational leaders as they battle the norms that dominate large successful companies. Through this work she and her colleagues have developed a set of principles and practices that are in use in many organizations today, and are helping them to improve their record of creating their next new platforms of business based on long term value-creating innovations.
