When you innovate, you aim to create a difference. You try to launch a new product or service that will win in the market. The team needs to overcome challenges in the market and challenges in your own organization.
Nowadays the tendency to deal with stress and uncertainty is to 'be positive'! Though telling people to stay positive or work harder is not a method. It will lead to burned out people and/or an emphasis in over engineering processes, structures, metrics and other more tangible things, with the hope to feel more comfortable with the unknown. Though this perspective informs us that humans are solely rational beings, which is not the case.
What makes us human is our broad array of emotions, not only the positive ones but also the darker ones. Exploring and managing darker emotions will lead to better decision making and more creativity.
The question is, how does one manage emotions such as fear, loneliness, uncertainty of ones self, of the group and of your senior stakeholders?
In this session Misha and Leo gave you a different perspective on becoming a successful venture builder and provide you with different perspectives to solve one of the toughest problems venture team members will face.
