Lean In to Listening: A Tech Journey to Reverse CRM

The limitless opportunity of technology can turn product and marketing upside down. Product cycles can be time consuming and expensive, and sometimes result in features that remain unused.  Innovation starts with a real-world problem.

Hear about a product manager’s innovation journey when tasked with a new mobile CRM product at Oracle Corporation.  Learn to lean in to listening with a walk through a shadow project of sales representatives that ignited a new approach. Trouble getting buy in and developing your product?  This innovation journey had its bumps.  A unique approach later included an acquisition, a marathon with engineers, beta’s Citibank and Konica, and the stage of the Oracle Open World conference.  Today it lives on at iFolio, a new tech startup in Atlanta, Georgia.

Take-aways:

  • How best to listen to your user?
  • When to look outside your organization?
  • When to develop with agile and when to follow other development models?

Today, iFolio still shadows users and utilizes feedback from customers to improve their platform and their approach to the next phase of their journey with “Reverse CRM”.
