Innovators: Who we are. Why it works. When it fails.

Last year Innov8rs embarked on a year-long research project to better understand: who are corporate innovators? What makes them tick? What makes their efforts succeed and fail?

We partnered with FourSight, creators of the FourSight Thinking Profile, to assess more than 350 innovators from around the world. We collected data from Europe, Asia, North America and Australia. Today, we’ll unveil those findings and talk about the implications for innovators in organizations.

Sarah Thurber

Managing Partner at FourSight, LLC

Sarah Thurber, M.S., is Managing Partner at FourSight, LLC , a global innovation company that develops research-based tools, assessments and training designs to enhance innovation, collaboration and team performance.

Working in partnership with academic researchers and creativity practitioners, Sarah has spearheaded the development of the FourSight Thinking Profile, used by top companies and universities, including Nike, IBM, BBC, HP, Disney, Pfizer, Harvard and MIT.

Sarah is coauthor of Creativity Unbound, An Introduction to Creative Process (5th ed.), as well as Facilitation, A Door to Creative Leadership (4th ed.) . With her Danish colleague Dorte Nielsen, Sarah developed the visualFourSight model for creative process, which has been adapted by the International Centerfor Studies in Creativity, the Center for Creative Leadership and the Creative Education Foundation. Her most recent book, The Secret of the Highly Creative Thinker, is a bestseller on Amazon. She has a master of science in Creativity and Change Leadership from the International Center for Studies in Creativity, part of the SUNY system. She lives in Evanston, Illinois, and has just become a huge fan of the Cubs.
