What Société Générale Learnt By Launching The World’s Biggest Intrapreneurship Program, the Internal Startup Call

Thomas will first describe the genesis of the Internal Startup Call, how Société Générale ended up launching 60 internal startups in less than a year, what are its specificities and where they are now. He will then detail some of his convictions about intrapreneurship like:

  • Intrapreneurship is a useful innovation tool in certain contexts but not the panacea
  • The return on investment of an intrapreneurship program is higher than the business generated by the ventures that will survive
  • Launching a startup is a team job and a full time one
  • Even the best selection process should leave room to some surprises
Thomas Chappuis

nternal Startup Call Project Director at Société Générale

In particular, Thomas designed, coordinated and implemented the ambitious intrapreneurship program launched in 2017 called Internal Startup Call:
– More than 600 startups concepts generated
– More than 15 000 participants to the initiative
– 60 startups sponsored by General Management Committee (top 60 Executives) launched and accelerated in 18 incubators worldwide
