In Your Shoes: Corporate Startup Partnerships, Do’s and Don'ts

Part 1
Part 1 involves role-playing exercises that look at a typical challenge in the Chinese innovation ecosystem. We will role-play a conversation between a startup CEO, an MNC BU Head and an MNC Procurement Head negotiating to reach a collaboration agreement and look at what challenges and improvements can be found. Through the various role-plays we will aim to draw conclusions on the major pitfalls when negotiating collaboration agreements in China and how to avoid them.

Part 2
Continuing the same theme “Reaching a collaboration agreement between MNC and startup”, we will conduct a group discussion exercise with a facilitator, dividing into groups with a mix of industry and entrepreneurship experience as well as West and East background.

Luuk is the Head of Corporate Innovation for XNode. He is a serial entrepreneur with three businesses and a successful exit. Luuk has coached and accelerated 100’s of startups and corporates ventures over the last years both in Europe and in China. In the past, Luuk set up an internal innovation program for Ernst & Young across the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and France.
