Chinaccelerator, the first startup accelerator to launch in China, is a mentorship-driven program helping startups from around the world cross borders: from the world into China and from China to the world.

Chinaccelerator offers three months of rigorous guidance, training and resources from mentors, partners and investors. The robust and supportive alumni network continues into the startups’​ post-Chinaccelerator lifespan. Chinaccelerator is run by venture fund SOSV with $400M assets under management, operating seven global accelerators.

Xin Che Jian – China’s First Hackerspace

Xinchejian is the first hackerspace in China. Hackerspaces are communities where people who are interested in emerging technology can meet and collaborate on projects. It is a non-profit organization run by volunteers. Xinchejian’s mission is to support and promote physical computing, open source hardware, and the Internet of Things.

Shanghai Data Exchange Center

The Shanghai Data Exchange Center is an important functional organization within the five-in-one planning layout of the Shanghai Big DataDevelopment program: Transaction Organization + Innovation Base + Industry Fund + Development Alliance + Research Center.

The Shanghai DataExchange Center is responsible for promoting commercial data circulation and cross-regional agency cooperation and data interconnection, government data and business data integration applications.

Alibaba’s Hema Store

Hema or Freshippo, as it’s called in English, is Alibaba’s new retail platform driven by data and technology under the Alibaba Group. Freshippo aims to create a community-based one-stop new retail experience center for consumers, bringing people a “sweet life” with technology and humanity.

Hema calls itself a “Membership Store” – only users of the Hema app can shop there or via Alipay payment app. It does not accept any payment method other than through the Hema app, which is connected to Alipay payment system

Tencent’s Yonghui Super Species

Yonghui Super Species integrates shopping and dining with a cashierless environment. You won’t get a faster experience elsewhere. Visit the isle, scan your product to pay via your mobile and exit the store, without having to visit at payment kiosk.

One can buy fresh food too, get it cooked and consumed on the spot. Super Species also promises a 30-minute delivery time within 3 kilometers. China speed at it’s best.

Xiao-i – AI & Robotics

Starbucks Reserve Shanghai Roastery / Alibaba Taobao

The Starbucks Reserve Shanghai Roastery, which opened in December 2017, features its own roasting facility and hand-crafted coffee bars. It is also home to the innovation center where new concoctions such as beer infused with coffee are created. Most interesting, it cooperates with Alibaba’s Taobao and applies augmented reality technology to present an online roastery.

China Mobile Flagship

As the leading telecommunications services provider in Mainland China, the China Mobile Group provides full communications services throughout China.
