How Exponential Technology, Business and Societal Trends Impact Your Innovation Programs (and Businesses)

As we enter an age of constant radical disruption in every business sector, new forces are underlying the momentum for change. This session will examine a number of key Technology, Business and Societal trends that will impact organizations within the next 3-5 years, with a specific focus on the actions that innovation leaders can take to respond now. Examples of trends to be addressed include quantum computing, unlimited energy supplies, AI, VR / AR, Nano-tech, 4D printing, etc.

As innovation leaders, we are expected to understand these trends and help translate their business impact, often with a focus on turning disruption into opportunity. This session will include a brief overview for each trend, along with case-studies of current application, commercialization possibilities and impacts on innovation leaders.

Anthony Ferrier is a well-regarded executive, advisor and thought leader on corporate innovation, with a focus on employee engagement and capability building.  He advises companies on how to thrive in an exponential world, by developing appropriate strategic frameworks to guide organizational change and build cultures that encourage the development of new ideas. Anthony is a widely-read author, speaker and advisor to organizations such as Bristol-Myers Squibb, Fidelity Investments, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, ADP and USAA. He previously led The Bank of New York Mellon innovation program and currently is the Advisory Board Chair for Swinburne University’s Center of the New Workforce.
