Barclays Accelerator by Techstars

The Barclays Accelerator, launched in 2016, is a unique partnership between the British multinational bank and Techstars. It offers ten selected startups and entrepreneurs access to a wealth of resources, including experts, mentors, and investors in the fields of cybersecurity, insurance tech, fintech, and enterprise software as part of the 13-week program. The startups also have free access to the Rise Tel Aviv co-working space., and can draw up to $120,000 of investment from Techstars.

AlphaC Excellency Program

You will meet the unique Acceleration program that is the only Cyber Accelerator with academia-corporate collaboration. Yaniv Berkowitz (Head of excellency programs at TAU Ventures) will present insights from this unique collaboration and will speak about startups that graduate the program and got support from both sides.

Tel Aviv University shines as the top institution in Israel for generating start-ups and fueling Israel’s famous knowledge economy. The Cyber program will be part of an ambitious, soon to be launched initiative at the University called “TAU Ventures.” The first venture capital fund, founded by Tel Aviv University, for investing in early stage, cutting-edge, technologies based in Israel.

Amazon Web Services

We’ll meet with Noam Kaiser, Amazon Web Services Venture Capital Business Development Manager for Israel, Spain and Portugal.

Noam carries 15 years of VC, serving as Principal for Gemini Israel Ventures, one of Israel’s most prominent VC funds, and prior to that as Investment Manager for Naiot Venture Accelerator, the seed stage investment arm of the XT Investments (Formerly Ofer Hi-Tech).

We will review Amazon’s approach to innovation, and how Amazon Web Services helps startups launch, scale and succeed.

Mellanox

We’ll meet with Nimrod Gindi, managing director of Mellanox Capital, and the Technology Committee of the Mellanox’s board of directors. He has previously served as Mellanox Vice President of M&A and Head of Investments overseeing Mellanox Capital.

Nimrod will provide an overview of Mellanox’s activity in Israel and how it works strategically with the startup ecosystem in Israel (Big Data/Analytics, Cloud, Virtualization, Security & Information management startups).
