About the session
About the speaker
Sarah is a Partner at Maersk Growth, the venture arm of A.P. Moller – Maersk, with over ten years of experience in the shipping and logistics industry. Before joining Maersk, Sarah worked at Google.
Sarah earned a Master's Degree in Finance and Strategic Management from Copenhagen Business School, including studies at Cornell University. She has split her career between strategy and management consulting and commercial roles, primarily in product management. Sarah has worked in various industries, including infrastructure, retail, energy, transport, and logistics, with extended periods in China, North America, and South Africa. She joined Maersk Growth in early 2021.
As Operating Partner, Sarah leads the teams focused on realising strategic value for Maersk from its startup portfolio companies and driving value for them as a strategic investor. Strategic value is driven through collaborations between Maersk and the start-up portfolio and by gaining insights from the external innovation ecosystem around what the future could have in store within supply chain and logistics. Notably, Sarah led the commercial agreement between Maersk and Einride, a Swedish electric and autonomous trucking scale-up, announcing a major deployment of electric heavy-duty trucks with Maersk in North America in March 2022.
Sarah’s passions include running, surfing, and, most recently, mountaineering.
