About the speaker
Manuel Tanger is a co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer at Beta-i, a Lisbon-based innovation consultancy and startup accelerator. With a background in innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology, he has played an essential role in shaping Beta-i’s growth and impact on the European startup ecosystem.
As Chief Innovation Officer, Manuel Tanger is responsible for developing and implementing Beta-i’s innovation strategy, working closely with startups and corporations. His expertise lies in creating effective collaborative innovation programs, fostering the interplay between startups and established companies, and driving innovation within various industries.
Manuel Tanger is also a public speaker, mentor, thought leader and SingularityU faculty in the fields of innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship. He shares his insights and experience at conferences, workshops, and events, contributing to the growth and development of the startup ecosystem.
Francisca is currently the head of training, research and innovation at Luz Saúde, invited Assistant Professor and member of the Board at FM-UCP. Previously, she was a consultant at McKinsey & Company. Francisca holds a PhD in Medical Engineering, Medical Physics from MIT and Harvard Medical School.
