How do you see around the corners for where your corporate should innovate? What I've learned over my decade plus in innovation is your answers to innovation are outside your corporate walls. So how do you form teams and structure goals to venture outside of the echo chamber of a corporate?

Design partners are key to the puzzle. But design partners come in many shapes and sizes. How do you get to the stage of bringing one on board? How do you understand and measure the tradeoffs between building, partnering, and buying based on what you learn from design partners? Should you do everything in-house or look outside corporate walls again?

Karishma currently leads the Ideation team for Cisco's Emerging Technologies & Incubation Group. She formerly helped prototype new businesses for Uber and worked to derisk product and operational challenges for 10 R&D projects at Alphabet (Google X) including Project Wing drone delivery. Karishma founded a startup which won a Global Entrepreneurship Week Award as an undergraduate at the University of Pennsylvania, received a Master of Science in Software Management at Carnegie Mellon University, and was a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree in 2016. In her free time, she advises startups and loves playing tennis and spending time with her goldendoodle.
