João Mil-Homens is the Innovation and Sustainability Director of Group Jose de Mello, where he is responsible for the implementation of a strategy strongly anchored in partnerships with startups to support the sustainable growth of the Group’s portfolio. He is a faculty member of SingularityU Portugal and a speaker on topics of disruptive innovation. Previously he was the National Delegate for the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation funding program, and an adjunct professor at University of Algarve. Joao holds a Masters and PhD in Planning, Governance and Globalization from Virginia Tech.
