About the session

In this session, Alasdair will share Innosight's perspective on Innovation Portfolio Management, one of the key enablers of innovation inside large organizations, and one of the five components of Innosight's Innovation Performance Model.

The discussion will focus on how portfolio management can bridge the gap between strategy development, budgeting and resource allocation, and the management/governance of individual innovation projects.

You will learn:
1) How to establish the innovation priorities that are consistent with an overall enterprise strategy, and how to define the portfolio of innovation projects that must be tracked and managed to deliver against strategic and financial priorities
2) The three key questions to ask of your portfolio, and how to bring the answers to life for senior executives using portfolio views
3) How to embed portfolio management within your existing strategy/budgeting processes so as to avoid creating unnecessary bureaucracy or a change management burden.
