Developing innovation skills requires more than ‘learning on the job’. In this session, participants will learn the various aspects of designing a successful L&D program that installs a culture for innovation.

This industry-agnostic workshop will demonstrate the value of applying strategic foresight to shaping future-proof innovation portfolios. Together we’ll work with future scenarios to stress-test opportunity areas and search fields, unlocking insights on how to streamline investments, (re)allocate resources, and ultimately, do more with less.

Catalysts tend not to conform to the cultural norms of the organizations they work in. They see things differently; are driven and energized; want to make things better and see a way to do that. They ask questions no one else is asking. They might be a bit annoying.

If you think you fit this description, or you’re managing someone who does, this session is for you. As a Catalyst, we’ll explore how to stay sane in a world that perceives us as the crazy ones. How can we stay match-fit when the organizational antibodies come for us? As a leader of Catalysts, you’ll learn how to identify, guide and support this rare breed of individual, so that they can flourish and, in so doing, enable your business to flourish too.

You will learn how to
– Recognise Catalyst traits and understand the benefits they bring to our organizations
– As a Catalyst, identify emotional triggers and learn how to avoid burnout
– As a leader, learn how to spot and support Catalysts to enable them, and your business, to thrive

About the session

Competitors can sometimes be your best innovation partner. While it may seem counterintuitive, partnering with competitors can bring a number of benefits, including:
– Access to new ideas and expertise: Competitors may have different perspectives, knowledge, and experiences that can help you develop new ideas or approaches to a problem.
– Shared resources: By pooling resources with your competitors, you may be able to achieve economies of scale, reduce costs, and access resources that would otherwise be out of reach.
– Increased market awareness: Partnering with competitors can give you insights into the market, including trends, customer needs, and industry developments.
– Improved credibility: Collaborating with competitors can signal to customers, investors, and other stakeholders that you are committed to innovation and collaboration, which can improve your credibility and reputation.

Of course, partnering with competitors also comes with risks, such as the possibility of intellectual property theft, conflicts of interest, and erosion of market share. However, with careful planning, clear communication, and strong agreements, these risks can be mitigated. Ultimately, whether or not competitors are your best innovation partner depends on your specific situation and goals, and should be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Join this session to learn more.

About the speaker

Passion about scalable breakthrough innovation solutions – technological, business, social and governance. Ana feels energized creating something new out of nothing — be it a new product, service, solution, experience or a new venture.

Her professional experience has been following the economic transition of markets. From the Oil&Gas sector to Energy Transition across several industries and SDG’s achievements, I’m a believer of the power of change management in company strategies towards innovation breakthroughs.

About the session

“In the last 15 years, 52% of companies on the S&P 500 have disappeared. However, the fastest ones seem to be winning. In 2021 Ethereum did $11.6 trillion in transactions surpassing Visa. What defines the winners and the losers of the innovation race?

This session will discuss the main pillars of the most successful innovation – vision, mindset, process, and skills. You’ll explore the ways to define innovation visions and opportunities that give you a strong advantage. You’ll then practice putting these opportunities into execution. At the end of the workshop, you’ll have a set of tools in hand, that’ll bring your company’s innovation one level up.”

Today as the Director for Venture Building at oneUp, Dafne helps people and organizations to explore their purpose and bring their transformation dreams into reality with the use of different proven methodologies such as Human Centered Design and Experimentation. About the session

Join this absurdist workshop where we will all pretend to hate corporate innovation really, really much.

We will devise numerous ways to sabotage innovation efforts.

Some of the question we will ask ourselves are:
– How can we make our intrapreneurs’ job a living hell?
– How can we stall all the ideas we don’t like?
– What could we do to introduce even more bureaucracy?

Truly, this will be the most devious session of the conference!

P.S. Fake curly moustaches encouraged, but not mandatory.

About the speaker

Bruno Pešec helps business leaders innovate profitably. He is the rare innovator who can claim that he’s worked on a regulation-defying freight train and an award-winning board game. In addition to his corporate experience with brands like DNV, DNB, and Kongsberg Group, Bruno runs a community of entrepreneurs of several thousand members. He is currently undertaking a doctorate in organizational change, with a specific focus on the issues with innovation in large enterprises. Bruno has co-authored the ‘Augmented Strategy’ book, a practical guide to data-driven decision making.

The disruption of a company’s business – that is, the tangible exploration of new and unknown future-driven possibilities beyond current markets, portfolio and segments – can happen both by deliberate strategy, and by the sum of vision and unavoidable pressures and externalities.

In this candid conversation, we’re going to talk concretely about the triggers, the procedures, and the results that are being reaped by three big companies working hard in this direction – and that are not necessarily connected to the digital technology environment. Come and talk, PPT presentations-free, with the people behind the stories of these companies, who have faced disruption head-on through a strategic commitment to innovation with big and small results, big and small learnings
