The Lufthansa Innovation Hub shared its learnings on how to successfully scale "green" on a corporate agenda. It takes you on their +3 year journey from a passion project to a strategic focus area.

The session highlights sustainability's unique angle on Innovation Management, Innovation Portfolios, Innovation Metrics, and why corporate innovation labs are prone to become the "catalyzer" for strategic core topics like sustainability.

The Lufthansa Innovation Hub (LIH) – named „Germany’s Best Digital Lab“ – is the digital transformation spearhead of the world’s largest aviation corporation Lufthansa Group based in Berlin and Singapore.The LIH discovers, evaluates and implements new business in the context of Travel & Mobility Tech.

About the speaker

Tino Klaehne is a Strategic Innovator with +10 years of experience on the interface of innovation, strategy, and design. At the Lufthansa Innovation Hub, he leads the Strategic Design practice - its conceptual nucleus and methodical backbone.

Originally from the Los Angeles area, Joan relocated to Paris, France where she embarked on a 25-year international career with Disney. A seasoned commercial finance executive, she has held leadership roles across a wide range of businesses – from Film Distribution & Acquisitions to Consumer Products & Retail – at both the Regional and Market level, working in Paris, London, Amsterdam & Brussels.

In 2016, inspired by her son, Joan launched “Dysnie” a social intrapreneur venture geared toward empowering Dyslexic children to unlock their potential through innovative & inclusive product, inspiring content and community engagement. An eye opener and total game changer, Joan is now taking the professional leap into social innovation. She is a currently Aspen First Movers Fellow.
