Leadership has a central role in creating, and holding open, the metaphysical space for innovation. In a culture where we are action-oriented and quick execution of solutions are rewarded, we close down exploration of new opportunities quickly and with it the potential for innovation. As a leader, you have a choice to continue to propagate this behaviour, or to incentivize a very different set of behaviours that enable a sense of possibility and opportunity to be held open. This interactive session with Susie Braam and Sonja Kresojevic will explore how we can create and hold that space open, recognise our own discomfort with uncertainty and provide a safer space for others to explore theirs.
