About the speaker

Dr Maja Schmitt is currently an Ideation Director for purpose-led innovation, with a focus on some of the Sustainability Development Goals within the DSM Innovation Center.
She is also a European and UK Patent Attorney and has been working for DSM companies for the last 20 years in the UK, The Netherlands (north and south) and China.
Royal DSM is a global, purpose-led company in Health, Nutrition & Bioscience, applying science to improve the health of people, animals and the planet. DSM’s purpose is to create brighter lives for all.

In his last role as Head of Digital Ideation, Scouting and Product Design at BI X GmbH (the Boehringer Ingelheim Digital Lab) Jasmin was part of the leadership team. Jasmin was with BI X from the very beginning: he was part of the team developing and implementing the strategy (in summer 2016) that lead to founding BI X, which is building yearly up to 7 digital products in parallel. Since then, he has been part of setting up and growing the organization in Ingelheim and Shanghai. Apart from his chapter and leadership team activities, Jasmin has been coaching a series of products inside BI X.
Before his time at BI X, Jasmin was part of BI Research for 4 years both as a Post-Doc and as Head of Text Mining & Expert Searches. After that Jasmin moved to the IT organization for 7 years in the roles of Business Consultant for Information Management, and Head of IT RDM Translational Science & Architecture. Jasmin has extensive leadership experience and held budget accountability in some of his roles. Jasmin holds a PhD in computational linguistics and has a scientific track record with more than 25 scientific publications. In addition, he acts as an active speaker at conferences and workshops.

With the personal purpose ‘to embolden others so that we can achieve the seemingly impossible’, Mark has been using his skills and experience to lead transformational change within large corporates. Currently he is helping Saint-Gobain Sekurit to place the customer at the heart of everything that they do.
