In this session, Kevin introuced the circular economy (why now?) and Board of Innovation's framework for understanding it in your business context. We dove into building better business models (how to compare circular businesses, as well as circular economy ecosystem & business design).
We also gave advice on how to define your circular economy strategy for more impact (scoping advice, and example KPIs).
Kevin Shahbazi is the circular economy innovation lead at the Board of Innovation, a global innovation strategy & business design agency.
Kevin is the former Circular Economy Design Lead at Philips Design (2014-2019) and a Schmidt-MacArthur Fellow at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation (2014). He has a background in Industrial Design Engineering from TU Delft (Netherlands) and Nanotechnology Engineering from the University of Waterloo (Canada). He's passionate about using innovation strategy & business design as a way to align doing good and doing business, in order to scale impact through profitable ventures.
